ExaFSA - Exascale Simulation of Fluid-Structure-Acoustics Interactions
The ExaFSA project aims to combine the two dominant trends in engineering simulations: multiphysics and high-performance ...
Manager
Thorsten Reimann studied Aeronautics and Astronautics at TU Berlin and focussed on turbulence modelling in Computational Fluid Dynamics. Earning his doctoral degree in mechanical engineering in 2013 at TU Darmstadt, his research interests became flow-related coupled multi-physics problems. After post-doctoral work at the German Aerospace Center and at TU Darmstadt with Christian Bischof, he became the coordinating manager of the Hessian Center for High Performance Computing in 2019. Since 2021, he also coordinates the NHR4CES (National High Performance Computing for Computational Engineering Science) program at TU Darmstadt.
