Background
In HPC software development, but also in the use of open source software, identifying and fixing software bugs is an inevitable part of the daily work of HPC users. Dedicated tools - so-called debuggers - enable and facilitate an understanding of runtime behavior. For this purpose, the HKHLR has been offering a class-room introductory course on "Debugging" and the debugger Totalview, licensed in Hesse, as part of the "Proficiency Training in HPC" course on a quarterly basis for a long time. Since debugging in applications might become relevant for the daily work of our users in the short term, the new online offering now provides quick help at any time.
