The figures show the nanocomposite at different tensile strains. The spherical inclusion is color coded according to the crystalline order in the sample. Initially, all precipitate atoms are face-centered cubic (green). The matrix atoms are color coded according to the atomic shear strain (ranging from blue to red for unstrained to plastically deformed).
