Multiscale modeling of the impact of dislocations on the electro-chemo-mechanical behavior of lithium-ion battery electrodes

Fig. 1: Hydrostatic stress field óh and concentration (isolines) in a dislocation free sample and a sample with a dislocation in the center of the volume. A constant concentration larger than the initial concentration is applied on the front boundary while other boundaries are flux free. A flux forms towards the back boundary where the diffusion induced stress interacts with the self stress of the dislocation.
