Introductory Course to MaRC 2 Cluster

Introductory Course to MaRC 2 Cluster

The first part of this event provides a short introduction to the MaRC2 cluster aimed at new users; as each HPC system is configured a bit differently, it is recommended for both those who are complete beginners at working on a cluster as well as those who have worked on a different cluster before. The course covers connecting to the cluster, details on which computational resources are available, working with the module environment, the most important commands for submitting and controlling calculation jobs, and two short examples at the end.

The second part is open for both new and longtime users, and aims to provide an open discussion space for getting to know MaRC2 users from different scientific fields, for exchanging know-how, and for discussing problems and questions on the topic of high performance computing in Marburg.
