MaRC3 Cluster Introduction and User Meeting

For the current and future users of the MaRC3a high performance cluster in Marburg, we provide an introduction into working on the system.

Covered topics include the process for getting cluster access, MaRC3a‘s hardware configuration, a short introduction to the linux commandline and Environment Modules, and a quick walkthrough from determining a calculation‘s resource requirements to submitting it as a job to the cluster, as well as some hints and tips for using the system efficiently and where to find help and documentation.

Additionally, this event is intended to provide a forum for questions, discussion, and scientific exchange between different user groups.

It is planned to be held regularly at the start of the semester.
