MaRC3 Cluster Introduction and Processing of Sensitive Data
For current and future users of the MaRC3 cluster in Marburg, we offer a combined training on Friday, November 28th, 2025, dedicated to efficient and responsible use of the MaRC3 compute cluster.
Schedule
09:00–10:30 — Cluster Introduction & HPC User Meeting
Learn about the MaRC3 hardware, software environment, and job submission basics. Ideal for new or prospective users, with opportunities for discussion and exchange.
10:45–13:00 — Workshop: Secure Processing of Sensitive Data on HPC Systems
A hands-on session on handling sensitive or personal data on the cluster. Learn how to encrypt data locally, manage access rights, process data securely on reserved nodes, and automate encryption of results.
Both sessions take place at Campus Lahnberge in Marburg.
You may attend either session or both; separate registration is required for each.
Note: Successful completion of both parts is required for researchers intending to process sensitive personal or patient data on MaRC3. Please bring your own laptop.
